The evaluations for new players will be Sat., Apr. 26th, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Arena diamond on Glenpark. If we cannot go due to rain, we will meet Sun, Apr. 27th, 2008, same time, same place. I would encourage ALL team reps and Executive members to attend if possible or send other team members to evaluate the new guys. I apologize for any confusion on the evaluation date. Steve B.  |

Are the evaluations a scrimage, drills or pitchers simply pitching to hitters?

There will be few drills. Players will be cycled through the infield and outfield to see their defense. Then pitchers will toss to hitters to assess their hitting skills. The people on site will determine the drills. There will not be a scrimmage.

Nick quite often teams requiring pitchers, like us (we need 2), will have them pitch on the side just to get a true look at how they throw. In the practice they will just be throwing bp. I hope this helps.

the new date is may 3th 1pm in blackburn. for anyone reading this. rainout is 4th, sunday at 1pm
