Anyone know where there is a batting cage that is open for business? The Yellow Pages is out of date, as Grounders is no longer around (and the phone number is out of service).

The only one that I know of is one out past Greely but before Metcalfe. I was there two years ago or so. It's a permanent outdoor facility with different cages and different speeds. I cannot remember how to get there or what its called but its the only one that i am aware of remaining that is near the city.

There is one off Bearbrooke Road, next to Louis Riel High School. Its enclosed in a dome, there is also 2 basketball courts with artificial turf insode so you can toss the ball around on it. However it is kinda run down. But for 40$ you can rent the entire place for an hour. Not sure of the number but I was there last year and as far as I know its still open.

The Orleans Amateur Fastball Association has a batting cage located at Pierre Rocque Park (behind Loblaws) which is rented out for $15. per hour, which includes a pitching machine and operator. Contact is Lise Beauregard at 824-6787.
