The GOB and Stan's had a makeup game last night, Sun., June 17th, 2007 at 9:00 pm. The GOB were the visiting team and upon arriving at the Arena diamond to start field lining, we noticed that when opening the locks on the box that they were BOTH not engaged. This situation has come up in the past and the team or teams involved have been warned many times. It does not take too much time to push the locks in firmly and yank on them to insure they are engaged! No matter who places the bases/equipment in the box, it is the Team Rep or team manager's responsibility to double check that the box is secure before leaving the field. I don't know what else the League can do to remedy the situation except to discuss penalties. Will it take an occasion where all the bases, tools, etc. are trashed/stolen before some action is taken.
