Anyone think that there were any deserving all-stars who didn't get on either of the BMFL all-star teams?
The 1st and 2nd team allstars are listed on a thread below.

I know that there are so many deserving players in the league and there is no fool proof method in selecting these all star teams, but our team strongly felt that Gilles Roy deserved some top honour be it top pitcher on the all star teams or MVP (no slight to Will Mood as he was second on our list), but for him to walk away with nothing we were very suprised. The GOB were an excellent team but everyone knows pitching is a major part of that success. Look at the Blues. Our pitchers obviously kept us in most of the games and were the reason for our success. An outstanding modest catcher doesn't hurt either lol!! By the way the banquet was excellent and the meal was by far the best we have had in many years. A job well done to those involved.

I agree. Gilles should have been the MVP. He had 12 wins and only 3 losses. Sure he did not strike out 12 guys a game but he always gets the job done. Plus he had great offensive numbers also. Once again Gilles Roy gets overlooked.
Also, I was surprised that neither Steve Corry or Rejean Doiron made it on the 1st all star team. In my opinion both deserved it. Nothing against TJ and Bret, but both those guys did not play the whole season at those positions. TJ played nearly as much SS and Bret was injured and missed close to 10 games. Steve nearly hit 500 AVG and close to 40 RBIs. Plus he played solid defense. And Rejean is hands down the best defensive SS this league has probably ever seen (with Newf a close 2nd). He also hit very well and had many clutch hits for us. Not bad for a guy we picked at the bottom of the 2nd round a couple yrs ago. (now that's another story)
And another thing, why wasn't there a playoff MVP?

The reason there was no playoff MVP is because the Blues were supposed to pick this individual and since we are bad losers we said screw the rest of the league. Just Kidding, it is a god question John why was there no playoff MVP awarded?? Maybe this is a good topic for the web guy to put up. We know from which team no playoff MVP' will be awarded.(I won't mention any names but the team name is a colour) hmmmm.
