Here is the information regarding the league banquet:
The banquet is set to go on Saturday the 14th at 6:30 PM, with supper being served at 7:00.
What we need from you are concrete numbers on how many will be attending since we need to give the caterer enough notice! So please contact your team representative if they haven't contacted you and indicate to them whether you will be attending this year's league banquet. Tickets are not required to attend but we do need the number of players and guests attending by Oct. 10. If you cannot get a hold of your team rep, please email myself (shannonborho@hotmail.com) or Joe Allan (allan@ottawalynx.com) to let us know if you can make it. If you are bringing a guest, the cost will be $25 to them, the event is free for all BMFL players.
Secondly, would it be possible for some of you to ask around for prizing (similar to last season)? We are working on all-star patches (first and second team) and should be able to give out a trophy-type momento to the playoff and regular season champ. But as of yet, we do not have any door prizes!
It has been confirmed, the meal will consist of: Roast sirloin of beef, chicken brochette, rice pilaf, roasted potatoes, macedoine of veggies, assorted cold cuts, garden and rotini salads, cheese, fruits.
The event will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Orleans Branch 632. The address is 800 Taylor Creek Road in Orleans, (613) 830-9984. The directions that I have are:
Take 174 towards Rockland until Trim road - turn right (heading South) and take your next right. Stay on the right as you will almost immediately approach a split ... .8 km on Taylor Creek you will see the Legion on your left.
