Congrats to the Good Ol' Boys on winning the tournament and to the Guzzlers for finishing 2nd. Also to the Bangers for the B champs.
Also a job well done by the Good Ol' Boys running the tournament, seemed to go pretty smooth (with the exception of the lights going out).
Just wondering if anyone has any comments on the beer gardens/BBQ that we ran. Actually throw out comments for the tournament as a whole to try and make it even better next year.
As for the beer gardens, not having hot dogs on Friday night was a screwup by Schneiders as they never sent them to me. Also we sold more coolers that i thought we would which is why we ran out of them already on Saturday night. We'll get more next year.
Maybe we should put a retractable dome over the gardens when walman is batting?? Anything else? Comments, suggestions, criticisms welcome...

A great job by everyone involved with putting the tournament on, from the begining to the end. Congratulations to the Good ol` Boys as the "A" Champs and the Guzzlers as the runner-ups. Also congratulations to the Ballbangers for as the "B" champs and the Blues as the runner-ups Great weather, food, drink and ball. The tournament brings quite a few of the BMFL alumni out, It was great to talk to some of them. Sorry our team wasn`t as competetive as I would have liked and the forfiet of our two last games was embarrissing. Next year I will have a roster of 15 or we will not enter. I don`t want the same thing to happen again. Hats off to everyone involved

I only had a chance to play in one game, but from previous years playing in the BMFL league tourney, I can say that you guys always do a great job. Even though you reported a few minor hiccups, it is very rare that a tourney happens without a bump or two along the way. A refreshing change from the was the RA League runs things, that's for sure. Not to mention that the teams in the BMFL are a classy bunch too.
One suggestion would be to bring back the homerun derby, I heard that there wasn't one this year but i could be mistaken since I only played in a Saturday 7pm game....

I believe that the reason for no homerun derby was the scheduling. I think the organizers wanted as much time dedicated to games at the arena diamond as possible and with teams guaranteed 4 games, there wasn't a whole lot of down time.
Mind you, the home run derby is usually a great for the fans and participants and i would like to see it back next year.

I truly appreciated the tournament this year. Our division was quite competitive. Two ties, 3 games decided by one run, two which were earned in the seventh inning.
As for the organization, I think it went quite well... Although, I might be a bit bias. John was there pretty much the whole weekend. But I should say the same for Pedro, Yves and Mick. HAHA
I would like to thank other teams (Guzzlers) / players (T.J., Pedro) for helping out with the field when we weren't available to do them...
Great job at the bar and with the BBQ. Great hospitality... Felt like when I use to go see my dad play ball... Everyone knowing/talking to everyone else, with a few laugh & BEER!!!!! Great to have specials 3 beers for $10 buck... It avoids having change.
Recommandation:
In the spirit of recruiting ball players for next year, there should be someone from the committe available to answer questions from any new player. Even, taking names, phone numbers and email address, so that when next spring is here, we can remind all those new players that ball season is back and see if they want to join. Thinking of the Rogues, Alfred's team and all new players that played on other teams.
In the spirit of the game, and if available, It would be nice to have someone behind the backstop annoncing the game.
Again, in the spirit of the game, and encouraging younsters in ball, provide a gift ($) for every ball returned by a kid. That's how I first enjoyed the game when I was a kid...
Overall.... Great job....
