After seeing the decline in registration this year, i'm just wondering what your thoughts are in regards to possibly merging the BMFL and the GCMFL in the coming years.

I don't see a merger on the horizon however I think an interleague All-Star game or playoff tournament would be more plausible.

What I mean by merging is, blackburn would still have their teams and so would glen cairn. But you would play a few interleague games during the season then have either a playoff weekend or just a regular playoff format but have the two winners from each league play for the overall championship.

That could be a great idea. It would be tough to work out with travel and all, and the way that the leagues draft, but it could be done (double headers would make travel more efficient). Has anything ever been done like this in the past? It would make fastball a little more interesting in Ottawa. Instead of playing the same 6 teams summer after summer 3 or 4 times each, you could be playing against maybe 12 different teams twice. Of course the Blackburn league players would stay with their respective teams and the glen stay with the glen. It would make for some interesting new rivalries. Maybe it could be the spark that fastball needs in Ottawa.
